Tina Bobbe is an industrial designer and design researcher, based in Germany. She uses the possibilities of generative artificial intelligence to create images that stretch the boundaries between product design and art. The results are arty coffee machines, functional still lifes, and surreal realities. By playing with color and material, her work is characterised by highly aesthetic and playful artifacts with sometimes surreal details, inspired by the bold design trends of 80s Italy. 

As a dedicated design researcher, Tina Bobbe explores how designed artefacts can tell compelling stories about science and technology. By integrating this knowledge into her creative process, she produces imaginary artefacts that generate intriguing spaces of uncertainty – leaving viewers to decide whether the objects in her work are real or fictional.
